Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

PromptShelf ("the app", "we", "our") is a macOS menu bar app published by BeeCrow, LLC. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data. The short version: PromptShelf collects nothing.

Data we collect

None. PromptShelf does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It has no account system, no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising.

Network activity

PromptShelf makes zero network requests. The app works entirely offline. Nothing you type, paste, or store ever leaves your Mac through the app.

Where your snippets live

Your snippets are stored in a single JSON file on your own computer, at ~/Library/Application Support/llc.beecrow.promptbar/snippets.json. We never receive a copy. If you move, sync, or delete that file, that is entirely under your control.

Clipboard

When you select a snippet, the app copies its text to the macOS pasteboard so you can paste it. This is a local system action — the clipboard contents are not read back, logged, or sent anywhere.

Third parties

PromptShelf integrates no third-party SDKs and contacts no third-party servers. If you download the app from the Mac App Store, Apple processes the transaction and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; BeeCrow, LLC receives no personal data from that process.

Children

PromptShelf does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
